What should be checked during the operation of the unit?
During operation, check for leakage from the gaskets, ensure operating pressures and temperatures do not exceed the maximum design values stated on the name plate, ensure differential pressure does not exceed the max allowed differential pressure indicated on the nameplate, keep bolts and nuts clean and greased, avoid sudden changes in fluid flowrates, pressure and/or temperatures, maintain flow rates at the designed values, and monitor for settling and clogging if the fluid contains solids.
